90 Day Fiancé franchise favorites David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan are currently living their best lives in Thailand, and they may not be returning to America any time soon. In November 2017, David and Annie got married in 90 Day Fiancé Season 5, but the odds seemed against them from the beginning. David struggled with his finances, couldn’t pay for Annie’s dowry and needed help from his American friends in order for them to have a place to live. Their relationship seemed like it was headed toward disaster.
However, they proved to be one of the few couples whose love was strong enough to persevere through anything. Soon after getting married, they moved to Arizona and had their own spin-off: David & Annie: After the 90 Days. However, there was one thing missing from their lives: a child. In 2023, they were ready to have a child together and, in 2024, they underwent IVF treatments. They announced the pregnancy later that year in June and quickly moved to Thailand. While it seemed as though their stay wasn’t going to be permanent, the couple might be changing their minds.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ Couple Moved to Thailand for Dual Citizenship
In late 2024, David and Annie moved to Thailand to make sure their future daughter would have dual citizenship. The couple used their time in Thailand to also reconnect with Annie’s family and enjoy the sandy beaches until they announced their birth of Minthira on March 11. On Instagram, they shared their wonderful news and wrote, “With hearts full of love and joy, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our beautiful baby girl.”
Since the birth of their daughter, David and Annie have shared many updates on social media about their growing family. In April, they were able to accomplish their goal of establishing their daughter’s dual citizenship. In a post featuring a photo of Minthira with the American flag, David revealed she “became a U.S. citizen,” meaning she was in fact a dual citizen of both countries and would soon have her American passport.

’90 Day Fiancé’s David and Annie May Not Return to America
While it seemed like the 90 Day Fiancé couple’s original plan included a more permanent return to America, that may no longer be the case. David and Annie’s daughter is about two months old, and the couple lives in Thailand. Additionally, near the end of April, David returned to the United States and posted updates cleaning out his house. He also reminisced about a few memories, such as finding a hoodie he received from Aaron Carter.
His actions prompted some questions from fans about whether they planned to sell their house, but David confirmed the couple intended to keep their Arizona home. Additionally, David confirmed they were unsure if and when they’d return to America after someone asked on Instagram. While neither he nor Annie shared clearer details, they simply confirmed they wouldn’t be returning to America for the foreseeable future.
Overall, it seems like the 90 Day Fiancé couple has found their groove, and it’s no wonder they’re a franchise all-time favorite. They truly prove that 90 Day Fiancé includes real couples who genuinely care about each other. Annie and David represent a time in the franchise where couples were more authentic and applied for the K-1 visas for the right reasons. They also prove that with dedication and hard work, most couples can overcome anything. They struggled to build the family and life they have today, but they’ve come a long way. Luckily, their stay in Thailand, even if permanent, doesn’t affect their ability to keep fans updated through social media, so hopefully Annie and David will continue to share more about their moving plans once they know for sure.
90 Day Diaries is currently airing on TLC every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
