The Condor flies

The Allegorist aka Hungarian-born, Berlin-based Anna Jordan, has spent six years crafting her latest offering From Birth Until Death.
An enigmatic, transmedia artist known for crafting deep, immersive dark sonic tales that aim to weave together the mysteries, art and spirituality, the album is inspired by the Andean mythology of the condor – a symbol of immortality – the album blends electronic soundscapes with raw field recordings from Berlin’s Grunewald Forest.
You can hear ‘Andean Condor’ from the album in full right now, well ahead of its release on July 25, with the kind permission of the artist and her Awaken Chronicles label.
“In this album, I work with symbols and mythological ideas again as I always do,” Jordan told us, “This track is inspired by the Andean condor, often regarded as the largest bird of prey in the world. According to the Incan belief, condors were thought to be immortal. In the Andean mythology it is said that once they feel old, without energy, and useless, they climb to the highest peak and let themselves fall to death. Which I thought was a beautiful metaphor. For freedom of choice, inevitable destiny, the momentum of endings, immortality – as energy never disappears it only transforms, the cycle of life, death and becoming.”
